Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to announce that iSpartan Google Apps accounts will have unlimited storage (no quota limit). This upgrade will roll out to UNCG users over the next few weeks.

UNCG users will be able to see whether their account has been upgraded by looking at the bottom of their Gmail Inbox. Before the account is upgraded, the usage message will read something like “21% full, Using 6.34 GB of your 30 GB.”  After the upgrade, the message will simply say “Using 6.34 GB.” UNCG users can also go to https://www.google.com/settings/storage to see the total storage used by their iSpartan account.

As initially announced in September, Google is now rolling out unlimited storage to all Google Apps for Education schools, completely free of charge.

Along with the unlimited storage upgrade, individual file sizes up to 5 terabytes will be supported. So you can store as many Google Drive files, Gmail messages, and Google+ photos as you need.
