If you use any of these Box for Windows applications:
- Box for Windows 8
- Box for Windows 10
- Box for Windows Phone
please be aware that Box is phasing out support for them in early 2018.
Note: This will not affect the Box web application (box.uncg.edu)
On January 1, 2018, Box for Windows 8, Box for Windows 10 and Box for Windows Phone will be removed from the Microsoft store.
On March 1, 2018 these applications will no longer be able to access Box.
- Box Sync 4.0 will replace functionality that is currently found in Box for Windows 8 and Box for Windows 10.
- Box for Windows Phone will be discontinued. Windows Phone users will be able to access Box through the Box mobile web interface. For users with an Android or iOS devices, Box recommends installing the Box apps for these platforms immediately to start taking advantage of the enhanced mobile experiences.
