What: Update for critical security vulnerability in Citrix Workspace

On Monday, May 13, 2019, Citrix released a critical security patch for its Workspace application. Workspace is used as the local client for accessing the UNCG MyCloud environment.

Today, at 8:00 p.m., ITS will update the Workspace application on all UNCG-owned Windows computers on the GCN. 

If you have a session open to a desktop or application, the session will close while the client updates. After the update is complete, relaunch Workspace to reestablish the session. If your computer is disconnected from the UNCG network or powered off, Workspace will update the next time your computer connects to the UNCG network.

ITS will provide additional guidance in the coming days for updating all other UNCG-owned systems and personal computers.
