Update: 8/21/2019, 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Microsoft re-released the patches for this critical vulnerability. To ensure that UNCG computers are protected, ITS will release the updated patches to Windows computers.

UNCG-owned computers: Friday, August 23, 5:30 p.m., is the deadline to install the re-released patches. Computers will automatically update upon powering up if patches are not installed before this date. If you have a UNCG computer at home, connect it to the GCN using the VPN so that it can update.

ITS-hosted servers: The re-released patches do not need to be applied to servers. No additional server patching will take place. The next scheduled patches for servers is the week of September 23.

Personal computers: This vulnerability continues to affect all installations of Windows. If you have a personal Windows computer, patch it immediately.
