Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) will retire Cisco’s Webex web conferencing service (Meetings, Events, and Training) at the end of our contract on December 7, 2020. The Webex service offering is being phased out to provide a more streamlined set of web conferencing services, which will be a cost savings for the University. Alternate solutions are available, including Zoom and Google Meet.

Timeline

  • Webex Meetings, Events, and Training sessions scheduled for dates after December 4 will not occur.
  • Access to Webex through Canvas will be removed on the morning of December 7.
  • Access to Webex via webex.uncg.edu will be disabled on the morning of December 7.
  • Backup/download Webex recordings between now and December 7.
