On November 30, Information Technology Services (ITS) will implement Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect, two new products aimed at improving the experiences of UNCG Mac users. 

Jamf Pro provides the best-in-class user experience for software delivery, patch management, and device management. Installing software provided through Jamf Self Service is easy, and will soon become the one-stop-shop for software, printers, drive mappings, and on-click troubleshooting. 

Jamf Connect transforms the macOS login process by enabling Microsoft sign-in, the same sign-in process used to sign-in to UNCG email. This provides secure access to macOS computers from anywhere in the world and removes the need to bind macOS computers to Active Directory.

Cloud-based Jamf services are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection and do not require a direct connection to the UNCG network.

ITS will provide more information on this exciting transformation of macOS support as we near the implementation date. Stay tuned!
