Who: Campus phone users

What: Planned downtime for the campus phone system

When: Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 5:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Information Technology Services (ITS) will perform maintenance on the campus phone system to prepare for migration from the VoIP phone system to Microsoft Teams cloud voice service.

Calls to and from Cisco phones on the UNCG network will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance window. Outages are expected to be very brief. 

Emergency lines that operate on the AT&T Centrex system, such as fire alarms lines, elevator lines, area of rescue, and most blue towers, will not be affected by this change and will continue to operate as normal.
