The evaluation of macOS Big Sur, announced on September 22, 2020, is complete. The upgrade is now available for UNCG Mac users.

Known Issue with Printing on macOS Big Sur

Under certain circumstances, printing through UNCG print queues does not function properly on macOS Big Sur. If your Mac is bound to the UNCG domain, follow the instructions for Printing from a Domain-Bound Mac Running Big Sur before upgrading to Big Sur.

If printing is a requirement of your job, Information Technology Services (ITS) recommends not upgrading your Mac to Big Sur until the Jamf rollout begins. Once a Mac is enrolled in Jamf, printing through UNCG print queues functions normally. For more information on Jamf, see Jamf @ UNCG and Jamf articles in ITS News.
