Update 7/28/2021: This article contains updated instructions for how to access the E911 Location Information Dashboard.  


Who: Faculty and staff with UNCG landline office phones

What: Update of E911 phone location information

When: July 27, 2021 – August 20, 2021

To ensure the accuracy of phone locations for emergency response services, such as police and ambulance, faculty and staff with UNCG landline office phones* must confirm their phone’s Enhanced 911 (E911) location information. UNCG’s recent migration to MS Teams phone service and some faculty and staff office moves require this important effort.

Phone location confirmation is due by August 20, 2021.

How to confirm your phone location:

  1. Go to the E911 Location Information dashboard. Faculty and staff have permission to access this dashboard. If prompted to “Request Access,” close the prompt, click Sign In, and log in with UNCG credentials. The dashboard should then display.

  2. Ensure the location information for your phone is correct. If it is, no further action is needed.

  3. If there is no location information displayed or if it is incorrect, go to the Update E911 Information form. Complete the form with current, accurate information. Click Submit when complete.
