Between 10:31 a.m. ET on December 7 and 5:20 a.m. ET on December 8, a significant outage at Amazon Web Services (AWS) affected several UNCG services, including Canvas, Respondus, and Emma.

AWS reports the problem is resolved. The affected UNCG services are functioning normally. ITS will continue to monitor the services.

The AWS issue affecting several UNCG services is still ongoing.

ITS continues to monitor the situation and will update this article when the issue has been resolved.

At about 10:00 a.m. ET, Amazon Web Services (AWS) reported a significant outage affecting the US east coast. Consequently, Information Technology Services (ITS) was made aware of outages of several applications affected by the AWS issue.

Currently, ITS is aware of issues with the following UNCG applications caused by AWS:

  • Canvas
  • Emma
  • Respondus
    • LockDown Browser
    • Dashboard
    • Monitor

If you experience issues with other services, please report them immediately to the 6-TECH Service Center.
