Beginning Monday, March 20, 2023, all information technology purchases will go through a pre-purchase review. The review can be requested via the new Information Technology Services (ITS) Pre-purchase review for software and hardware form.  

Purchase requests for technology resources, assets, and services will still be submitted through SpartanMart; however, per the new UNCG Information Technology Procurement Policy, ITS is required to review and approve all information technology purchase requests before purchases are completed.  

Requests for a third-party cloud service or software that handles High/L4 or Moderate/L3 risk level data or costs above $5,000 will also require an ITS security assessment, which may necessitate specific security-related documentation from the associated vendor. 

To access the pre-purchase review form… 

• Go to the 6-TECH Online Service Portal and click GET IT.  
• Select Computers & Hardware or Software. 
• Select the Pre-purchase review for software and hardware form.
