On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, an issue that affected Outlook email services occurred between approximately 5:13 a.m. and 4:27 p.m. 

Microsoft reports that the issue has been resolved. 

Information Technology Services (ITS) is unaware of any further issues and will continue to monitor services.

As of June 27, 2023, 3:13 p.m., the cause has been identified and Microsoft reports that a resolution is being rolled out. Users should experience incremental relief as the fix progresses.  

ITS will continue monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

Information Technology Services (ITS) is aware of a significant service degradation affecting Outlook email services. Some users may encounter an Unexpected 500 error when logging in to the Outlook Web App (OWA). The desktop and mobile Outlook apps remain unaffected. 

Microsoft has acknowledged a widespread issue but has not yet resolved it. 

ITS will continue to monitor the issue and provide updated information as it becomes available.
